Marked by Design: What It Takes to be Known for Something is the title of Mark MacDonald’s new project based on his consultng work with churches and organizations as Creative Director for PinPoint Creative and Brand Strategist for BeKnownForSomething.com..

MacDonald says his book encourages ministry and faith-based leaders to focus on contextualizing their work and ministry within the community in which they exist.Mark MacDonald Headshot

It’s easy to bring back the concepts and ideas of others from popular books, conferences, and learning experiences. But leadership is more than simply imposing an external reality on a nameless, faceless body of people but about connecting with real people in the community, meeting their specific needs, and watching something supernatural happen in the midst of it. This is how churches can become known for something”, MacDonald says.

The book is designed to help leaders learn how to identify, create, and share an infectious story that will naturally draw people together around a common purpose and cause.

DRSA author/collaborator Ben Stroup is consulting with MacDonald on this project.

Now, from one Christian woman to another, she hopes to spare women the heartache of sexual sin and instead point them toward God’s best. Nina's book for women

Nina’s book for women

Thomas Nelson Publishers released Nina Roesner’s book, Respect Dare: 40 Days to a Deeper Connection to God and Your Husband in December 2012.  According to Nina, two thousand years ago, Paul gave women the key to a successful marriage, and it can be summed up in two words: unconditional respect. It’s not popular. It doesn’t sound fair. It can be hard to imagine. But it works. Nina has led countless women through this practical and life-changing journey, and in The Respect Dare she offers women the hope that so many others have found. Day by day, true stories and thought-provoking questions help readers apply biblical wisdom to the most important relationship in their lives.  The project was acquired for Nelson by Bryan Norman (now with Alive Communications) and placed by DRSA Agent Rachel S. Boye.

Tom's first project with Thomas Nelson

Tom’s first project with Thomas Nelson

Thomas Nelson Publishers released Tom Doyle’s project, Dreams and Visions: Is Jesus Awakening the Muslim World? in September 2012. It is a remarkable collection of stories directly from the world of Islam. Doyle not only relates these stories, but also addresses the questions: Why would God use dreams to reach the Muslim world? Can dreams be trusted? What happens after these dreams or visions occur? He has spent eleven years as a  full-time missionary in the Middle East and Central Asia, spreading the word of Jesus Christ. Throughout his journey he has encountered a staggering number of Muslims who were first introduced to Jesus through a vision or dream so powerful that they eventually turned from their lifelong religion of Islam and embraced Christ as their Savior. Despite living in a culture where converting to Christianity can result in execution, these former Muslims have found hope, peace, and inspiration that comes from knowing Christ. Their stories are amazing readers. Jesus is reaching out to the Muslims and they are responding.  Greg Webster collaborated on the project.  The project was acquired for Nelson by Senior VP and Publisher Matt Baugher and placed by David R. Shepherd.
