In her speaking and writing, author, poet, composer and co-founder of the Annie Moses Band, Robin Wolaver, describes poetry as a pillar of early-childhood education.
The author of The Song of Annie Moses (Guideposts) urges families to read poetry aloud to their children to feed their fluency during the early and primary years. Now she and illustrator Berklee Wolaver, Robin’s fellow AMB member and daughter-in-law, are collaborators on a children’s book that embodies her philosophy.
Every Park Needs a Lark that Sings is a good example of why families should follow her advice. Originally written as the lyrics for a tune in “Pennywhistle Park,” one of the most popular musicals performed by the children of Robin’s Fine Arts Summer Academy, Every Park builds on the tune’s music and melody to create a book that makes language easy for a child to learn, perform, and remember.
The book will come with a free download of the song version so parents and children can sing along. Marketing opportunities abound with AMB’s promotion of the project. To see the proposal, contact DRS at firstname.lastname@example.org.

In Killing Christians: Living the faith where it isn’t safe to believe, Doyle, in collaborartion with Greg Webster, employs the same storytelling technique — true stories that read like popular fiction — that made Dreams and Visions a strong seller for Nelson.
Doyle is Vice President and Director of Middle East-Central Asia-North Africa Strategic Partnerships for e3 Partners,a Dallas-based ministry.
The co-founders of a San Diego-based women’s ministry have chosen the DRS Agency for literary representation, according to agency president David R. Shepherd.
Tonilee Adamson and Bobbye Brooks, founders of Daily Disciples Ministries, Inc., recently agreed to retain DRSA for representation on their trade book projects and will also engage the agency for consulting and other publishing-related services, according to DRS.
“Signing Bobbye and Tonilee at this time in their ministry growth is a real coup for us,” Shepherd said. “These ladies are entrepreneurial and evangelistic about empowering women in an effective, honest, and spirit-filled way to be more fulfilled in their relationship to the Lord, their understanding of God’s Word, and their interaction with family, friends, and those in the workplace.”
As authors, Adamson and Brooks have written 21 Bible studies, three books, and over 400 devotionals during their ten years of ministry together. As media personalities, they host “The Way4Today”, a weekly, live radio call-in program on San Diego’s KPRZ and are adding new Salem Radio Network stations in 2014.
As Bible teachers and conference speakers, the pair conducts a weekly women’s Bible study in the San Diego area, and they have spoken at hundreds of women’s events across the US, as well as continuing to host their own annual women’s event in the San Diego area. This year they are launching the “Power of Friendship Tour with Bobbye and Tonilee”, a series of women’s conferences currently planned for 16 cities which has attracted such sponsors as Salem Communications and Logos Bible Software with others being negotiated.
Adamson and Brooks are also the co-founders of Bobbye and Tonilee Enterprises and Media4Women, a for-profit company that helps women with all aspects of launching a new business including social media, digital and online media, web development, and marketing.
